Hangar 4, The Battle of Britain Exhibition, is one of my favourite exhibits at Duxford, because it leaves room for your imagination. In the gaps between the icon aircraft you can stroll, without looking up in surprise and wonder at aircraft suspended in dramatic angles from the ceiling, and imagine what life might have been like at Duxford during the Second World War*.

*Although my imagination largely filled the voids between exhibits with scenes from the post-war movies I watched with my Grandfather in my formative years.
