What a surprise! Looking for a reference in my Batsford & Fry “The Cathedrals of England” I found this postcard of Patricia Roc on page 91 (Southwell Minster)! Whoever owned the book before me must have been a fan of Gainsborough melodramas. The receipt, which I’ve kept in the book, says I bought it from Bailgate Books Ltd of Lincoln. I hope the postcard was a free gift!
