Stained glass, St. James' Church, Louth, 15/04/14.

This is one of my favourite stained glass panels from St. James’ in Louth and it is one of the hardest to see, being hidden behind the organ! If you head East, down the North aisle of the church towards the Medieval font you will see the passage that goes behind the organ to a side chapel. All the stained glass behind the organ shows scenes from the childhood of Jesus, including his presentation in Jerusalem; as described in Luke chapter 2. The central panel shows Simeon holding the infant Chris and the right hand panel shows Anna, the prophetess, but I think this panel, depicting St. Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mother is the best; artistically speaking.
