Hull. To quote from the Grow Wild website: “Grow Wild is an exciting four-year programme that will bring people together to sow UK native wild flowers. Grow Wild believes that together we can transform and bring colour to where we live: turning unloved spaces into wildlife-friendly wild flower havens“. What a marvellous idea!

Further research reveals that these rather quirky planters were designed and built by a community group called Seeds of the Desert, whose work I have stumbled across down Humber Street before.

Hopefully the scheme will be judged a success and we will get a whole new set of planters next year in the Fruit Market area.
