What a great memorial, never seen anything quite like that. I like the way it is done in ceramics to reflect the local industry too. Must take a peep next time we’re in Stoke.
Ooo, I was just looking for some more information about it for you and I’ve discovered the works official title is the “St. Peter’s Community Mosaic”, but it does incorporate a tribute to Sir Stanley Matthews. http://www.thepotteries.org/art/100.htm
