If I were to create a Mr. B Walking Trail around Hull, The Mammoth, at the Hull and East Riding Museum, would be one of the landmarks on your route through the
Old Town. As I grew taller and grew up, for want of a better phrase, I always thought the awe inspired by The Mammoth would wear off, but I have always been mistaken.
The Museum is free and The Mammoth is the first exhibit so it is well worth calling in. It doesn’t move, which is probably why my young nephew didn’t appreciate it, but I think it looks very animated; as if it is about to shake its head, wave its trunk and stomp off down the High Street!
