The Slow Train to Dundee, Perth Railway Station, 19/03/14.

What it lacks in speed it makes up for in floral decoration; note the flowers in the funnel! This charming and rather elaborate plant pot stands in the car park, welcoming travellers to Perth railway station. This was my last photograph in Perth before moving on to Dundee; hence the title.

DSCN1597According to the 42nd Royal Highlanders’ (of Lafayette, Indiana) Facebook page, it’s National Tartan Day over in the United States, so I thought I’d share this photograph of the 42nd’s spiritual home, Balhousie Castle, which I visited on the 19th March. The 42nd Royal Highlanders play the pipes and drums as their Scottish forebears would have done, with traditional instruments and 18th Century uniforms, all around the Midwest and if you have a look at their Facebook page you’ll see them playing outside of Balhousie Castle back in 2013.
